Do chefs get alot of job offers?
Is it hard to find a job when you are a chef?
New graduates get many job offers as prep cooks and if they have some previous experience as line cooks.
After you have paid your dues (at least 5 years of full time quality experience) you should have no problem working anywhere you want to as a sous chef.
I've seen job listings in excess of 600 positions and it was compiled from only six or seven states. Many of them were sous chef positions. One of the greatest benefits of this buisness is the ability to travel anywhere and be employed. The most important thing to consider is, do you love to cook.
