Have you gone to El Centro Community Collage in Dallas, Texas for culinary training?

I went for 1semester. Overloaded myself and dropped out 1/2 way through(havn't been to school in forever and work at the same time). The program is pretty good. My friend went to Culinary institute in Oregan and we compaired. His studies were over and he was in the kitchen a lot more than I would have been, but other than that, i think El Centro is a good program. The instructors are good, experienced chef's, and I've talked to some people that graduated the program and they are all doing well. In fact, one person I talked to is working at Abacus in Dallas... though he grad way back in the 70's or 80's.
Here's the thing, you can spend 40k or 10k... you choose. I think the schooling is pretty much the same curiculum and the instruction will be just as good. The only downfall I though was less cooking time compared. I'll probably go back when I get back on my feet(been outta work for awhile now)
