I have not read the book but I have heard a couple radio interviews.

Journalist Eric Schlosser has written a book, Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal, a detailed investigation the fast food industry, starting at the Chicken Farms and Slaughter Houses to the buttons, bells and lights of the fast food stores.
