I am looking for any info on restaurants for sale in the northeast or new england area. If you know of any web sites or any other places to obtain listings of busineses in the area. Also Id love to hear from chef's who have opened their own places: how you went about it, purchasing equip, problems, etc... Thanks!!! - Pete

use a consultant.
If you dont know how to buy equipment or deal with purveyors, you are going to get burned. Find a good consultant in you area to work with you, it will save you time and money in the long run.
And Yes I am a consultant, but I live and work in Texas and I am not fishing for your business.Just take the advice, if you aint sure of what you are doing, hire someone who is. Good luck to you in finding your dream restaurant and I really wish you success.
