I am looking for recipes dating to the 17th century in France for a dinner at Colgate U. faculty club.

I've got 13 th century England.
I would think that it's almost the same.
Only 17 th is cleaned up a bit.
All the game birds are the same, sauces would have been better in france, more cream.
I would venture to say the english had more spices, and maybe veg's. What do you think ?
