dear Chef Chums , greetings from england/germany
I presently work in germany for the british forces as a civilian , the other day i was asked to go run the pastry section as i was the only guy who could do the job , so i started my day with genoise mix for swiss rolls,roulades ect.
then another civvie chef joined me and asked what i wanted doing i told him to make millionaitres shortbread ,the guy did not know how to make shortbread ,or genoise or just about anything else-this i can live with the guy doe'snt know and admits it....however the other chod who was in there......this guy reckons he's the bees knees so he makes "eclairs" ....and now for the recipe ...Hot dog rolls filled with buttercream and a topping made of bournville cocoa(very very bitter) melted margerine (not quality gear but el-cheapo) and finished with unsieved icing sugar.
what are the worst concoctions you guys have experienced.
