Hello chefs,

I really want to start a personal chef service in my area, but need some training. I've found 2 organizations that offer this (and it is a little costly) - the US Personal Chef Association and the American Personal Chef Association. Has anyone heard anything about either of these two, in terms of quality of their instruction and support? Know of other options? Any info you have helps. Thanks!

Carol-

I have just signed up with Personal Chefs Network and am expecting my training materials momentarily. They let me join as the materials were not ready and have been extremely helpful. I feel as if I already have a leg up on my business thanks to all their advice.

Just a follow up on this last message. I got my training materials from Personal Chefs Network and I am really glad I waited for them! Not only are the materials exceptional, but the follow up questions I have had have been answered almost immediately. I can call any of the founders any time and they will help me out if they are home. I can't speak for the other 2 associations, but PCN is terrific!

can you give me a link to go to Personal Chefs Network? i'm trying to decide on which training course to take and have already seen what USPCA and APCA have to offer. they both look good, but would welcome a third option. thanks!

I got the APCA training materials in September and thought they were a good value, with solid practical advice and loads of samples of other PC's marketing materials. I have not asked for any personal support yet because I am still in the recipe testing phase, but it is available. No use reinventing the wheel where others are willing to share their experience. "Don't dream it - be it."
