I have been resently promoted to Kitchen managment and I am also a cook. I have only had a few years actualy doing this type of work. I love it but I am sure there is alot of things I need too know. If you have some good pointers or advice please let me know. If you think I am over my head say so. thanks

Can you cook? Can you lead? Can you teach? Can you learn? I know lots of great cooks who couldn't teach someone how to boil water. Can you? Are you respected? (not feared....Respected.) Can you effectively communicate with f.o.h. people? Customers? Are you absolutely consumed with passion and obsession for this bizarre mind and body torturing career? If you answered the last one yes, the rest can be learned? ; )
