I am a former culinary student. As a result of a serious car accident, I was unable to finish my studies. I am currently working as a computer software instructor, but long to work in the industry. I am searching for a position in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area for a catering assistant/banquet sales assistant. How do I get started/where do I look? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Rgds.,

Norma,
Your best bet is just start applying. Hotels and cateres are a good bet. You have several good things going for you. You (or so it seems) have the urge for the business, you were a culinary student, and you have computer skills. Stress these and I am sure there will be many job offers.

Tim
