Hi there. I am a married 27 year old with a 2 year old son considering going to the CIA. I am familiar with the school and have done some research. My question is what is life like in Hyde Park. How hard is it to find housing for a family? Any estimates on rent? What about finding employment (I'm a family man and will have to work full time)? I do have a good amount of experience as a server and bartender and thought maybe I could use that while going to school. I am also considering JWU (no offense to any alums but I have to check out different programs) and I will be posting a similar message in the JWU forem as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try going to www.pojonews.com. Its the local newspaper for that area. I will be attending the CIA in march and am also looking for a place to live in the Hyde Park.

I am 28 years old with a 18 month son. My husband and I moved here in April and I am currently enrolled in the baking and pastries AOS program. I'll be honest with you. It is expensive to live here! Our rent runs us $700 a month plus utilities. You can get places for as little as $500, but there not always the type of place you want to raise your family in! Jobs can be hard to come by, but you should be able to find something suitable in the restaurant industry!
