Censorship The Great Hall: Censorship
By Gonzalo on Monday, May 17, 1999 - 06:00 pm: Edit

I would like to say that I have followed EOL from it's inception and am very unsettled by the censorship that is currently being insinuated into this "new" forum. George, why are you closing out commerical information, and postings from sites that have content similar to yours? Who benefits from that, not the participants. The spirit of the WWW/internet is not derived from that type of selfish outlook. Yes you have all the right in the states to "drive you site" as you wish, but please do not make it seem like it is a real, honest open forum for all of us food professionals or non professionals when it is in fact just what you feel is "all that fits". I am in doubt if in fact this message will get posted, and if it does not, well I know from having talked to others, it will not be the first time.
George, it used to be good, probably the best but now it appears to be a bit of flotasm.
Good luck however to you and the participants.

Get a life and go elsewhere.

I honestly don't think the post deserves more of a response than that.

I remember around Christmas last year, when an over the hill gang tried to damage someone close at heart. I was glad you used your common sense to
remove the conversations.
You have my support, as well as many more, George
Rules are rules: no swearing, no malice, no smoking!!! We took the oath.
p.s. I can't give up the smokes.

Hey Gonzalo,
This is a site for us to trade ideas, recipes, and even barbs. If I want to see ads for other commercial sites I'll visit a porn site or I'll find other sites like this on my own. George keep up the good work!!
