My country club golf ladies have a theme for this years luncheon of "Birdies on parade" which I need to base some simple menu ideas on. Usually a cold salad and dessert. Of course we wont be getting much more than about $7 for the meal.
Anyone have any ideas out there?

How about a chef salad with the lettuce in the shape of a nest and a whole egg instead of a sliced one and a bread stick branch supporting the nest?
Or you could do the nest thing but shape different salads into eggs.
If you had more of a budget doing potato or filo nests would be need but too labor intensive for a cheepo.
