I'm preparing a story for US News & World Report on the job market, and have heard that chefs, restaurant managers, and even assistant managers are being headhunted. Is this true? Is it new? And what are its effects? If you feel like sharing your headhunting stories with me, call or email

Hi Kim,
I was head-hunted once when I was working as a chef, and a couple of times when working in management.
It is not unusual for head-hunting agencies to attempt to snatch skilled workers at fine establishemnts: at least they know you are well-qualified since you already passed the screening tests of your present employer.
