Could anyone tell me what the normal operating costs for fruit smoothie operations (like jamba juice) should be?
I am particularly interested in labor costs. What other comparable operations (frozen yogurt, maybe) have much lower labor costs?
Thanks...

Could anyone tell me about the demographics of the typical doughnut buyer? Is there an optimal size of town to locat a doughnut shop in? Is there an ideal part of town to coincide with the ideal demographics? What else does the typical doughnut buyer buy? (icecream?)
Thanks..

I'd just like to mention that the Martha's Vineyard area has the highest concentration of doughnut shops I've ever seen.

It's hard to compete with the big franchises. Donut King, Dunkin Donuts etc,. Donut eaters usually eat anything fried.

The 2 small donut shops in the area folded in the past 2-3 years. They can't compete with the supermarkets that sell a dozen donuts for $3.99.
And then you get the 12th box free! Heckuvadeal!
