I am looking into opening a frozen custard stand. There are none in my city, and any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated. I am also willing to travel to "apprentice" at an existing stand.

Frozen custard is the absolute best (and also the first {i think}) soft serve "ice cream" ever made. Rhonda, open your stand in Chicago....please please please!

Holy Cow, from my Chicago suburb I have about six custard stands with-in a six mile radius or maybe more.
You must be in Chicago proper Annie?
"Julie Ann's Frozen Custard" is a name of the leading place (in my area). I do believe they have a sign in their shop mentioning that they sell franchises. Here's their phone number 1-815-459-9171, they probably have a web site (I don't know it but you could try looking under their name).
My brief opinion....I think their main location does alot of business (it's in Crystal Lake) but I rarely see any people at their franchises locations....I think that's because there so close in proximity of each other??? I don't care for their custard, but I could introduce you to dozens of people who think it's to die for!
