Boise, ID. Definitely not the culinary capital of the world, but a nice little city for now.

Boise! I used to live in Idaho Falls...got out as soon as I could!I eloped with an old boyfriend. After almost 20 years, he still wonders if it wasn't to get out of Idaho! But now he knows that I was willing to follow him to KENTUCKY, it must have been love! We're right here at "My Old Kentucky Home". POINT-I did like Blackfoot and Pocatello. Been to "Craters of the Moon"? That is one strange place. Soda Prings was also nice, for a change.

Didn't Frank Zappa do a song about Idaho?

By Peachcreek (Peachcreek) on Sunday, July 14, 2002 - 11:39 am: Edit

Frank Zappa did a song called "Montana". Back in the 70's it was "required listening" since that is where I grew up. Hey TMarta, you will love this. For the past 7 years I have been managing a restaurant in Pocatello. And before that, a little restaurant in Stanley for 5 years.

Yes, I am close to Denton... between Dallas and Denton, in Lewisville.

By Chefspike (Chefspike) on Monday, July 15, 2002 - 01:21 pm: Edit

I have good friends in Denton.
If a portion of LA did fall into the water, that just means I'd have beach front property.

By Snuffaluff (Snuffaluff) on Monday, July 15, 2002 - 02:09 pm: Edit

lol... beach front property!! At least you're lookin at the glass 1/2 full!

That guy, I tell ya.. being from Tx and my family from Mississippi, I know what's good w/ fried green tomato... He made some butter milk biscuits, then put some salad tossed in blu cheese in the middle of it(sandwich style), then he layed the tom's out and around the side. My dad(who's from Miss), said how gross. lol Jst thought I"d share that /w ya!

By Chefgbs (Chefgbs) on Monday, July 15, 2002 - 10:16 pm: Edit

True, although I was born and raised in the borough of Manhattan, City of New York, baby! Therefore, I am a New Yorker, no matter where I am currently living.

NYC BABY!!! #1

what where we talking about

By Chefspike (Chefspike) on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 - 08:14 pm: Edit

krist another New Yorker.........
when will it end.
So I see that they are not going to rebuild the towers, 110 stories, just 70 stories.
Thats a shame. I had hoped that they would get past the idea that they have to listen to every tom, dick and harry about what to build.
Just another building that will look like any other building in any other city.
I wonder if they would have rebilt the Brookyln Bridge, or the Statue of Liberty.
I was hoping that they would rebuild the towers, just like before, to show how defiant we are to those who would try to break us, so we could all stand on the top and give those who would think we are easy, or weak... The Finger.
