Hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving even if you have to work it.

Just baked 57 pies, four varieties, and 40 dozen muffins for take out turkey dinners and in-house 198 covers for dinner tomorrow. More tomorrow starting at 4 am. Ah, gotta love this job!

Later!

Got the day off and a fresh locally grown 44# bird to cook, and nothing else to do, but watch football. That alone is plenty to be thankful for.

Happy Holidays to everyone! I want to take this opportunity to thank everybody for the forum here.

George, you have opened the culinary world back up to me. I am locked away, by my own choice. I love where I live, but I miss the commaraderie of chefs in more metropolitan areas. Thank you for that.

The rest of you... Pamie, you are so sweet and sentimental, Catergreat and all of you "serious" pros, it's good to get the real info and hear the real voices, Manny and Spike can keep me smiling even at 7 Am when I'd rather be sleeping.

Thanks to you all! If I haven't mentioned you by name, please don't think that I don't read and appreciate your posts too. You many times have set my feet on a better path and given my employees a smiling face to look at in the mornings. I hope the good Lord smiles on you during this season of too many parties and too many desserts, too many rude customers and too many hours on your feet. Bless you my friends and compatriots.... Happy Holidays!!!
