Manny said: Bud?

I say, either that or Coors. However, I'd choose neither of those in todays times what with all the much much better beers around.

Come on Snuff I thought you liked Busch.

Sorry couldn't resist.

Even though I am American thru and thru...... I do not drink any A. Busch product cuz of their politics, Coors, well just about all American beers suck, with the exception of Sam Adams....hmm?? co-incedence....hmm?? But my brew, or brews of choice would first and fore most, Labatt Blue, then a lovely black and tan. Now as far a regional American brew.....Turbo Dog in New Orleans is a nice satisfing sud.

Peace

gibz... those wouldn't be Quintessential though. Would they? I'll have to do a bit of research on this one. Personally, I think Sam Adams tastes like horse crap (not that I'd know, but I do live in Tx). I don't know how they win medals every year. Never had turbo dog, but I hear Emeril likes it too. *;)

G, cheap shot taken...lol busch beer sucks just like most domestics.

hi guys greets from england/germany i was in gettysburg last year and had Ynglings beer correct spelling i hope ,this was a great brew
closest to english beer i have ever had , there is also a micro brewery in Chatanooga just down from the aquarium which does great beer ,however a budweiser although like gnats pee is a nice sociable drink .
You really need to try some british ales if you can get them but leave Heineken alone -its the nastiest .

hi there!

my happiest memory of an American beer from a sizeable producer was my first taste of Anchor Steam Porter. yum!!! but even better were some beers from a brewery restaurant in Phoenix that I haven't been to in years...don't even know that it still exists...Coyote Springs. A fabulous Pumpkin Ale and an even better Blueberry Porter...I drool with those memories! And don't y'all be saying those are "girlie" beers...I loved living in Germany for all of the different beer opportunities it provided.

Snuff, what do you think of Shiner, since you're a TX feller? And where are you, exactly? I'm in the DFW area...

I'm in the Dallas area as well... bout 30min North. I love Shiner. I like all the shiner brands too. Their heff is delicious w/ a touch of lemon... smooth and satisfying.

Hmmmm, we're practically neighbors, Snuff! Where do you work, and where did you train, since I saw in another post that you're TX born-n-bred. Thanks for the tip on the Hefe, where do you buy it around here? I've always loved hefe and it was my beverage of choice when I lived in Germany.

I'm pretty sure you can buy it in any store that sells beer. I've had no problems finding it anyway.
I'm no chef... by any means. I just dabble on the side at home. I was very interested in a career change and found this site. I have never worked in the food industry and really, until recently, never really wanted to. As of now, I work at my dad's real-estate office maintaining his web-site and updating all the data. I hate it, but it pays the bills so I stick it out. I've been talking with a chef about opening a catering thingy, but it's just talk right now.
