Of course Pastry Chefs should rule the world. The only qualifications Politicians need is the ability to get themselves elected. Pastry chefs, on the other hand (and Cooks!) can't get a job until they know something and can prove it...

Exactly what part is good about him getting re-elected??????.....the billions spent, the number of soldiers that have died, the fact that the rest of the world has bailed out of Iraq, the fact the price of gas is still going up, the fact that we are no safer today then on 9-11, that we have the biggest deficit ever, the fact that Osama is still on the loose, the fact that the enviroment has been destroyed by this administration?????????

Hi Chef Manny,
I grew up in England, they've had gay marriage in England since I was a kid and it didn't affect anything in reality.
America isn't ready for that. Its just too soon.
People are just afraid, it takes tolerance.
The world is pretty darn nuts but thats exactly the way it should be , based on the insane decisions people make, they get the consquences they choose.

They're both decent guys, both want the same thing, Kerry wasn't different enough, not clearly defined as an alternative.
Don't believe that Michael Moore dogma.
My buddy had a couple of beers with Kerry decades ago at Legal Seafoods in Boston, just a regular sort of guy, same as Bush.

Formed my opinions about politicians when I was in grade 11 after our Highschool organized a debate with two local politicians gearing up for an election. In my essay I concluded that all politicians are power hungry, dangerous, and foolish to think that they can appeal to all of the public all of the time, (like, "you can fool some of the people some of the time...") Twenty five years later, I still can't find fault with my logic.
I don't play favorites, I can't stand any politicains, on any level of government.

I would of voted for Pee Wee Herman if he would of ran against Bush; so yes I did vote for Kerry, not because I thought he was the most effective candidate, but because we've had enough of Bush!

So, you're telling me that you didn't like Kerry, but voted for him anyway? Like that would be a good solution to the "problem". That's the reason Kerry wasn't elected, noone liked him, they just voted for him b/c they didn't like Bush.
I'm not disagreeing with you that the state of the union is in trouble, but it has been slowly crumbling long before Bush became President. If you think that Bush is the sole contributer of the destruction of the great nation, you need to wake up.

we need to keep walking forward, and take on these people as they pop up.
limits on how long they can hold a position.
2 terms for everything, and maybe we can get rid of some of these entrenched do nothing losers who couldn't do anything else in life.
more Spanish and Blacks and Women should be appointed to positions that affect our everyday lives.
GET MORE PEOPLE TO VOTE.
don't let anyone group run our country, we as a people, Americans, should run this country.
get rid of those lobbyists, they are evil.

I'd say from the information listed on their site I generally agree with about half of their platform. I agree in part or completely with the libertarian stance on drugs, social security, gun control, taxes, foreign policy, the environment and welfare. That being said I do disagree with quite a few of their positions. To get in depth on these issues would take forever. I have friends who are libertarians and the conversation is always lively. That's my $.02.
