I cannot tell you how many times I heard this tonight. Actually I can. 97 times. That's how many people showed up without reservations tonight. It's Christmas, in a ski town, where the hotels are all full to capacity. What are people thinking. We actually had to turn people away. Then they get mad. Every seat is full, and there is a line of people waiting at the door and they say rudely "this is ridiculous, I cannot believe you cannot seat us". In the end,it ended up going great and all the people we did feed loved the food. I actually had three people ask me to write down the recipe for my sweet red pepper and apricot chutney that was served with the carved ham. This alone made for a very happy Christmas for me. Merry Christmas everyone. If I make it through this coming week without a drink, I can stay sober through anything. Peace to all. Chris

Congrats Chris and, Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!!
There's always those who come in expecting to be seated on the Holidays!!!!!!...part of the annoyance you have to deal with on these days;
even if you put out the "reservations only on whatever holiday" sign on Jan.1

Wow Chef that is pretty nice to be able to have an overflow of seating to dine on Christmas in a ski hunch.

I ski yearly. I also have the luxury to have Christmas Day off recently.Last year I went to Bristol Mt. Located in Buffalo, NY. It was vacant. The resort had a huge place to eat in a cafeteria style, but it was empty.I always wondered how fun that would be.

I usually go skiing in NC at Sugar Mt. They have a huge cafeteria. Also, upstairs from the main dining facility cafeteria style. There is a huge take out menu available upstairs.
