My goodness! Hey all the people that post here with what you are calling dumb questions ARE using the interweb to find stuff out.

It certainly is too bad that some get slammed. They likely expect a group of helpful friendly chefs ready and willing to help them. What they do find are highly qualified and professional $%&*#$'s

Sure in some cases you are scaring off posers, but in others you are turning off what could be welcome associates.

Myself I try to take it all with a grain of salt. *snicker*

The guy never came back to explain why he needed the info.
Even George, who's seen this a hundred times called it a.." quick fix for a homework assignment here..."
And last even if he was/is a chef, would you hire someone who had to come here with such a question?...before they tried to goggle it or find other means to get the answers.

I would not want this person as an associate in my kitchen, you could never go on vacation!, for fear he/they would not be able to handle even the simple things that come up.

Besides the fact that it is quite obvious the difference between cornFLOUR and cornMEAL......and fromage-frais???.......that is why I asked what it would be for....so then if he answered back......guide that person....but to just outright give the answer that is soooo obvious....comeon man........there is helping out...then there is holding someone up.
