In the past this was a great resource for many chefs, pastry chefs, culinary educators and individuals associated with the culinary field. It was also a great resource to find a job or a qualified applicant. The old EOL helped me find a job closer to my family and assisted me in hiring my current Buffet Chef.
It is a pity that EOL has changed, became less user friendly and is now charging for its services. What was a great service that helped unite and bring togather Chefs from across the country has become but a memory of its past greatness and is utilized a fraction as much as before.

Once again, I miss the old EOL.............

Hi Fred,

Most folks don't like change, but it must happen.

No one likes paying for what used to be free. Unforunately I have to pay my bills, don't like it but thats the way it is.

Fred by the way thanks for finally posting at WebFoodPros. From what I could find this is your first post here ever. But of course you did post about a dozen positions in the Help Wanted area when it was free. My guess is you miss that most.

George,
Starchefs used to be free too but have just started charging. and why not, headhunters gets thousands.

Anyway, I just put my business on the block, getting out and will probably buy a French restaurant in England. I'm closed for renovations and will be too busy for surfing, I'll probably pop back up in the future..hopefully in a different place.

For now, Cheers Gerard

Wow, such good news and such bad news in the same message. Hearing that StarSchleps finally started charging for ads made my day, but hearing Gerard is taking a leave of absence took the smile off my face.

Gerard thanks for all your excellent posts. Best of luck in your future endeavors and come back soon.

George
