Has anyone used a La Cornue stove. How does it perform? Any tips?

I cooked on one for a couple of years. My employer bought it mainly as a "show" item and had no idea what he was buying. It turned out to be perfectly fine. The ovens (one gas, one electric) seemed rather slow. The grates on the gas burners don't accommodate the smallest saucepans. The electronic "igniters" are often troublesome (taking a long "priming" to light the burner).One thing, though, and it might sound silly: the beauty and expense of the thing gave me a little boost towards quality.
