Wow Robert, lighten up. My goodness you are hard on a fellow chef. So what if Panini and ChefSpike post a lot? It's a way to vent. Lord knows we need a space to rant and rave. Only those of us who work in the field would understand what one another is talking about and if it's good therapy so be it. Forget what he says guys. It's his opinion. It's so easy to sit, read and pass judgment when one has no idea who or what they're talking about. Personal attacks are Oh So Unnecessary.
I mean look at it this way, thank God none of us work for the postal service...nuff said there!!
And TMarta...I got a new assistant last week. I wanted to go home and cry because our rice cooker died and this kid didn't know how to make rice without it!!! She told me it wasn't working and I said, "oh well, just make it on the stove" and she had no idea what I was talking about.
I'm like, get a pot, add some rice, water...blank looks all around. So I had to stop and show her what to do. It was almost like a demonstration ... Rice 101.
:::shaking my head laughing and wondering again for the 2,000th time why I still do this. LOL:::

I thought you finally went over to the Yahoo site to play in the first-grader-sandbox-chat-rooms with the rest of those blow hards. Guess not. Wasn't anyone paying any attention to you over there? Waaaa.
Please, take your affected bitterness elsewhere.

ImDaChef, we do this because we're warped...we actually LOVE it! It's like having children.
By TMarta on Monday, August 20, 2001 - 07:56 am: Edit
P.S. Tell your assistant to BAKE the rice. Rince, place with liquid in a covered casserole and bake it. She might be able to handle that. But you probably had to get a new rice maker, anyway!

TMarta...Thought about a new rice cooker, then wondered what I had her for. Too many modern conveniences. Great to save time but who learns anything anymore? Screw the rice cooker, make it the right way, the way my mom taught me way back when. How hard is it to rinse and measure? This means you actually have to pay attention to what you're doing. You actually have to make sure it's right. You actually have to learn something. What a concept! Another basic skill learned. Having a mother from New Orleans, rice is basic!
I'll get another one soon, frees up a burner on the stove. LOL.

It feels good to see how the "real" people (I mean those who are really in the food biz, employees or owners) stick together against one stupid a##hole.
Jeff, you and Sophie are in my prayers...
Tonette, we don't want to hear nasty words from you, but I guess I'll join you to yell them out loud!!!

Robert, your a d!ckhead. Take your sh!t and go somewhere else. I don't think your wanted here.
By robert on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 08:51 am: Edit
get a brain, kevin kidd or whoever you are. robert is a character created by someone for laughs.i am amazed that so many people bought into it. also, you will note the sanctimonious tone of those posts from that mile long thread. what a bunch of phonies! the whole time everyone was diggin' it. plus, there are certain people that never get involved in these conflicts. they know better and don't waste their time. so Kidd, get off your a$$ and make the decision to go to culinary school, duuh. and during the process of going to culinary school you will be taking your sh!t and going somewhere else. see! easy!

I don't think so Robbie. There is no chance that you can recover from this one. If you are a fake, get a life. But I don't think so.Trying to backpeddle? I just can't believe that someone would go through that much, spend so much time, especially since it was not even enjoyable on your part. You showed your true colors, that's all.
But I tell you, you make me think, I'm truly thinking about bagging this whole forum thing, mostly because of morons like you. I just can't seem to understand how you get a kick out of things like this? What is it Robbie, can't get, a partner, love, frienship, sex, respect, money,a job,
By ChefHarpo on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 06:37 pm: Edit
panini, don't let that guy control what you do, or don't. If hes real, hes gone. If hes a fake, we'll know it's him under any name. If he continues, I'll have my lawyer look into it.
He'll find him. So...relax my friend, and lets have some fun and laughts. Ok?
By ChefBitch'n on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 07:11 pm: Edit
Easy there, Panini. Wankers like Roberto come and go here. Remember vbean? Just roll with it, Babe.
Actually, all this talk about food gets a bit dull after a while. I think having a little flair up now and again is kind of funny. It certainly brings people out of the woodwork.
Where has DeBoard gone?
By Panini (Panini) on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 08:10 pm: Edit
I'm so confussed!!! I don't know who's who anymore. Jesus, I'm just a baker!
DeBord, has moved to another forum.Actually Chefbitchin, not a bad forum. No rif-raf like here. She has left her job, she's going through some personal stuff so she is in our prayers. I know she will be glad somebody asked. Alot of the oldtimers there.
By ghb on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 08:29 pm: Edit
I really miss DeBord! I could always count on her for kind words and solid baking advice. Panini, please pass my best on to her and let her know that her words of wisdom and encouragement meant a lot to me.

hey yankee, u gonna keep that name?-ChefBitchin'
I like yankee better.

Panini don't let the words of someone who appears to take pleasure in tormenting others run you away from a forum you enjoy. He's one person with one opinion (no matter how stupid it is) and it doesn't define you. It never will. You don't live, breath and work to please the Roberts of this world...if you did, you'd go nuts and never accomplish anything. So, you've had your say. Ignore him and move on. The only reason he does what he does is to get attention anyway. Look at it this way, he probably ruined the last 5 souffle's he tried to make and wants to take it out on you. Go figure.

Wendy left the Club? Good for her, after all she's been taking from management, dishwashers, etc. I wish her love, luck and gorgeous cakes that are truly appreciated!
