You can make nougat if you want to. There are a few ways. The easy way: combine 2cups powdered sugar, 1tsp liquid glucose, 2 T honey, & 2 T water, in a small saucepan & stir over a low heat until it reaches 275degrees F (approx. 3-5 min); remove from heat & whisk in the syrup you just made into the egg white until the mixture begins to stiffen. Add in 2 oz. sliced, or chopped, peeled almonds that you have toasted; line a pan with a baking sheet (waxed paper, whatever) & pour nougat over the paper, cover with another layer of paper, press down, put a light weight on the top,& leave until cold. Cut, wrap & store in an airtight container. Use a candy thermometer to measure the temperature.
