I am looking for a recipe for a dense, almost bitter chocolate cake. I would like it to be almost like a pound cake in texture. Any suggestions?

I find the recipes from Hersheys produce chocolate cakes like you describe. They are denser/moister than any other recipes I've come across. Other options...I believe Payard and Herme have "pound cake" like chocolate cakes...but I don't like them as much as Hersheys.
You might even find them on line at Hersheys. There are aleast three recipes...I can't remember their names but if you post them I can tell you what my results were before you bake.

Vbean helping a person doesn't mean handing them a recipe everytime someone demands one!!!! Half the time the person asking doesn't seem to revisit this site, yet alone say thank-you for your help. Why don't you offer your recipe to them, they didn't address me personally? I was born at night, just not last night!
I get recipes from many different sources...a good recipe is a good recipe regardless of where it came from!!!! Most of the major food manufactors rigorously test their recipes which is more than several pro-books can say. I'm not arrogant enough to think Hersheys is beneath me!
