Tim
work phone # 805-278-2200 x550
home phone # 805-654-9945
I am the Executive Chef for At Your Service Catering, Inside the Residence Inn, Oxnard CA.
I have been interested in the web and creating webpages since 1996, when I created my first webpage for the Channel Islands Chapter, with the help of George Cook, out host, and others.
At this time I manage the Channel Islands, http://www.channelislandschefs.org/ , website, I Edit the Society of Mad Chefs website, http://www.madchefs.com/ , I have just finished a website for the local area food bank, Food
Share Inc., http://www.foodshare.com/.
While I started out using the wysiwyg Netscape Composer I soon learned to get complete control of how I wanted a webpage to look I had to learn html.
I now code completely in html using NoteTabPro an inexpensive but powerful text editor that provide many libraries that help in editing. There is a free version though with less options. It can be down loaded at http://www.notetab.com/.
While I am still learning the ins and out of html, and all the cool stuff, java, javascript, cgi and all the rest, I think the greatest challenge to a good website is relative content. You can code like a pro but if you don't have content that means something you sill still have a flat and lifeless website.
Thanks and I hope to hear from you all.

Hi
I am the webmaster for DiningDelights.com in Denver, Colorado and I'm very interested in sharing information with other webmasters about how to create effective web sites for personal chefs and caterers.
We provide web site design, hosting and webmaster services for small businesses. Our "changeable" web sites allow non-programmers to easily keep their web site fresh right from their browser. I'm always looking to share information with other webmasters about opensource PHP4 / mySql applications.
Please feel free to contact me at DaveBean@InfoAvailable.com or start a discussion here in this forum.
Thank you.
Dave
