A poem alleged to be written Lord Lytton:
We may live without
poetry, music or art.
We may live without conscience,
We may live without heart.
We may live without friends,
We may live without books.
But civilized man
cannot live without cooks.
A framed copy of this was given to me by a regular customer of mine.
