I've made a jewerly box cake for Mothers day. The things that "pull it off" are the items around/and coming out of the box, to show what kind of box it is. Anyway I've made a string of pearls out of gum paste and need some more ideas of items that can be made in VERY quick time.

I did make some earrings but now I'm worried about how I can display them with-out someone trying to eat them. I made them out of gum paste also, then coated them with gold dust, but made a big mistake when I used REAL wire for the hooks. I wanted to display them on the tray next to the cake but fear a kid will do something. How could I use them yet protect the items from being eaten (wrap in something see through?)?

So I need some easy to make (meaning no watches) ideas, does anyone have some???????

Can you place it far enough back on the table, so it's visible but not reachable? If you do that, plus adhere the earrings down with some royal icing, it should be okay.

Is this just one cake?Centerpiece?
