Me and a friend are in the process of setting up a home-based catering business, specializing in pastries. We also do wedding cakes. We have our website currently under construction and we have a business plan. I want to rent kitchen space from a bakery/restaurant which will presumably have roomier facilities and better equipment than what I have at home. My friend believes this will be too costly.
Has anyone here ever rented out kitchen space to assist them with their catering &/or home business? What are the pros/cons of such an operation?
We live in the Chicago area. Hopefully, some of you do as well and can give us your perspectives/advice/insights.
Thanks so much!
