Question for you guys / girls

I’m a food photographer looking to get into the cookbook market. Does anyone here have any suggestions as to how I might pursue that endeavor?

my web site: http://www.foodportfolio.com

Many Thanks

SM

Don't want to sound sarcastic, but finding a Publisher who can back up the photo, editing, and publishing costs is a start.

Fortune smiles on me: Although I've got a hundred stories about others who naively entered the cookbook market and got fleeced, I'm not one of them...

I'd look at the credits in some cookbooks and contact the individual editors.

Yo, stud...
Gosh, I've always wanted to say that!

You need to get in touch with The Baker's Dozen. It is a very loose organization of pastry chefs/bakers/cookbook writers in San Francisco (i.e. Flo Braker, Marion Cunningham, etc). There are now companion groups around the country. You'll find it an enclave of very prolific cookbooks writers.

ood luck!

Why dont't you check out www.cafepress.com I think they have a program to print books for authors and they cover the cost of printing, and split the profits with you, and you can sell the books right off their site.

give it a world
