To all Dear experts, please serve your advise;
My husband and me want to start food truck business. We found really large company, name "About Time Catering" in down town Los Angeles (Avalon blv), where we are from.
They have many trucks in exellent condition, large store with food supplies, they offer over night parking.
It costs $1500 to pay up front to be put on the route, we were told the route $700 / day (gross?) and they charge 15% from our income.
We are ready to work hard and we are very responsible people, we do have cooking/customer service experience, but none with the catering truck.
My husband has to quit his job, yes we want to change our routine, but we can not make very serious mistakes.
Does any one know this company, or similar ones ?
Is this deal honest ? What are realistic earnings possibillities , this is so important factor, can someone give at least estimate to us, assuming everything "average"? Any information so appreciate..

I talked ( e-mailed ) with this Lady earlier in the day. I suggested she come here and sign on and ask for some help and advice. I told her that I had no experience with these trucks, but some of your suggestions to that other lady were quite good. I did have some ideas or/and suggestions but by no means were they complete, and I let her know that. Thanks.

Once upon a time I considered this very idea and I asked to go out on a truck for a couple of days with an owner/operator to see if I liked it enough to sign up. The company was more than happy to let me tag along. Maybe you could as well.
