Finding kitchens to rent

WebFoodPros.com: Caterers Corner: Finding kitchens to rent
By Pilaf153 (Pilaf153) on Thursday, October 31, 2002 - 03:25 pm: Edit

I am looking for anyone that would be able to give me advice on how to locate a kitchen to rent for my catering buisness. Specific things I would like to know are:
What questions should I ask to the restaurant manager?
What is a good price to be charged for renting?

Also I would like any help on finding places I can rent services such as cookware, place settings and, etc.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks

I am new to this message board and I must say that it is absolutely fabulous! I have learned a great deal and its nice to hear that there are other caterers like myself who have similar issues. I am new to the area (Pembroke Pines, florida) I have been trying to find kitchen rental space for months can't find it anywhere, i have contacted local churches, fraternal lodges, closed Restaraunts, neighboring caterers. Please help, i need to be inspected by the local Health Department and can't find any where. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks

HELP, HELP, HELP! I know. I know. No more questions about kitchen rental space, PLEASE! but i posted a question over a week ago and i haven't received an answer. My HUGE dilema is kitchen space. Like most caterers starting out at home, which i know is a BIG no no, needs to take my business to another level. I live in southern Florida and can't find anywhere to rent. Can someone please supply me with the different types of places i should be looking into? I would appreciate it very much. My business is growing a lot faster than i anticipated and I want to put myself in the proper legal aspect. I want to do my business smart and not with greed. I have been searching literally for 2 months and i keep hitting a dead road. Although the business is growing rapidly its not a consistent flow of income to purchase. I appreciate all the advise you can give.. thanks so much
