Hi. Would someone have the time to point me in the direction of some really good cake recipes? I know this seems terribly vague, but I am a beginning cake decorator, having a problem with finding recipes that are "absolutely fantastic". I love to bake, and want to make scratch cakes, but only have a certain amount of time to experiment with new recipes. Everything I have tried so far seems to be lacking, but I am not experienced enough to know in what. My goal is to make beautiful cakes that are more delicious to eat than they are to look at. I also have a question about buttercream. I seem to have a problem with the buttercream melting from the heat of my hands as I decorate. Any tips, hints or recipes?
