try these;4 c.flour,1 tsp soda,2tsp cr tartar,1tsp salt,4tbl soft butter 1 beaten egg,1 1/4 c buttermilk.
mix dry ingredients,rub in flour,stir in egg&buttermilk,kneed briefly,place knuckle sized pieces on sheet pan,bake at400* for 10
to15 min.you can sub.baking powder for tartar,also these are very good by adding nutmeg,cinnimin,and currants.before baking brush
with milk and spinkle with white sugar
