: : I'm too am looking for the recipe for a cake called red velvet
: : or red historia choclate cake and frosting.
: : Can you please help me with this recipe ?

: A RED VELVET CAKE IS A BASIC WHITE CAKE MIX WITH RED FOOD COLOR-
: ING AND A CREAM CHEESE TOPPING. YOU CAN USE EITHER KIND OF CAKE
: MIXES THAT YOU LIKE. WHETHER IT BE A CHOCLATE, GERMAN CHOCLATE OR
: A WHITE CAKE MIX ITS JUST ACCORDING TO YOUR FAVORITE KIND.

A Red Velvet Cake is not just a white cake with Red Food Coloring in it.
the icing is not a cream cheest topping, this cake is made completely from scratch.
The icing is made up of Flour and Milk, cooked until it becomes very thick.
Then you have to refrig it while baking the cake. The rest of the icing involves
REAL BUTTER and Confectioner sugar blended together, it is very good (creamy and smooth).
The cake involves Buttermilk, cocoa, baking soda, sugar, flour, red food coloring (if made right
does not taste like red food coloring), vinegar, and so forth I just so happen to be making one this
weekend for my fellow workers, (who ask me to make this cake very often they love it)
I will bring the complete receipe in and send it to you.
