I think you could do this venture part-time if you are willing to work 60 hours a week!!!!!
By the time you put a kitchen in place with proper equipment, sinks, smallwares, etc. you won't be able to work at it on a part time basis.
You also need licencing, permits, blue prints for the planning department, health department, Fire department (Canada for
sure)
You need a proper business plan.
Still think you can "part-time" it?

: I really enjoy baking and was considering renting a kitchen to start selling my product. I'm really only looking to do this as a hobby part time - selling at craft shows, friends, etc. no retail. I found this site and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to get started. Packaging, pricing, mail order etc. Thanks for your help!
