The photos make the desserts look more exqusite than they ever could in real life, because they're shown so close-up. It's a picture book more than anything else. I haven't tried any of the recipes, but the pictures, and the ingredients used sometimes give me ideas for plated desserts. Don't you agree there's a market for that kind of over-described, over-celebrated trendy food? Trotter may be egotistical, (I don't know), but he knows his market, and they obviously love that kind of show.
