: Not together! I'm looking for a recipe for strudel dough - there was a Great Chef's show a while back with a wonderful bearded chef stretching strudel dough over a 4x4 table - amazing! Anyone have a recipe to share?

: Also, my fiance's mother loves red velvet cake - whatever that is. I can't find a recipe - we didn't learn that in french pastry school!

: Thanks in advance,

2 lbs bread flour (hi gluten here)
1/2 pint oil
1/2 oz salt
1 1/4 pint warm water(approx)
2 oz sugar
3 eggs.

Mix 10 minutes, roll into 3 balls, brush heavily with oil and let rest in a pie tin 2 hrs. We pulled it out on a 12 foot X 3 foot table with a floured cloth on it.
The dough reaches the floor all around, peel off the edges, let dough dry for 5 minutes then brush with melted butter, we filled with grated apple, squeezed in a cloth to remove excess water, roll like a jelly roll with apples and butter spread over the whole dough, use the cloth to roll the dough, pull it towards you. Bake at 400.
Picked this up from a crazy Hungarian baker in FL.

Red velvet? I don't do American products.
