: Is there an internet site that shows pictures of commercial breadslicers? I am looking to design a home breadslicer for my engineering class. Any ideas would be helpful.

Dunno about pics, you need a maintainance manual with drawings, isometrics and that sorta thing , I have a slicer in my store, they are all similar designed, a set of serrated blades sliding thru a fixed bar at the top with slots to keep em aligned, they are fixed to a reciprocating bar on the lower end (below the cutting plate) and that is driven by an eccentric cam on a motor. It is spring pre loaded to prevent cam float. (bouncing).

What about a giant egg slicer, you could electrify the wire and toast it at the same time ( bad joke)duh.

What about a slotted guide which fits over the loaf, you slide an elec knife down each slot, no wait , take 20 elec knives....
believe it or not that would be a LOT cheaper than anything approaching a commercial design, mine sells around $4K.
