: : HI I HAVE three books that come to mind for baking and pastry . Perfect pastry By nick malgeri. Professional baking By Wyne Gislin. Finally BO Fribergs professional pastry chef . these are the books I learned from in culinary school, hope these will help. plus one more Understanding Baking BY Joseph Amendela CMPC.

Hi. Neil,
Thank you for your advice on books for baking.. I have seen some of Nick Malgeri's baking on T.V. and also in Bon Appetite magazine and it looked very good..

But the book that really caught my eye was Understanding Baking.. I want to learn what makes baking tick.. What can make things go wrong, and the solutions.. Truly wish I could take some lessons but at least now I have some books to get me started in the right direction.

Again thank for your help and if there are any other books that come to mind please let me know.

Donna
