: My customers keep asking me to re-create a charlotte rousse they remember from their childhood in New York City. They remember a paper cup that held lady fingers and cream which was squeezed to eat. Do you know any recipes for this? (I would put anything, but is there a particular flavor associated with this?) Do you know where to buy the small paper cups-they have been described to me as upside down chefs hats.

I am presently employed in a shop within a theme park. As a youngster, we use to purchase Charlotte Russes from the bakery. They were made up of a small cake about three quarters to an inch in size covered with swirling whipped cream and a cherry on top. The cake and the bottom of the whipped cream were held within a cup. As you ate it, the bottom of the cup could be pushed upward. The only bakery that I know presently that sold them doesn't anymore because they are unable to obtain the cup. Have you found a distributer of this cup? If so please let me know at alivingstone@worldnet.att.net
