The fact is, Martha Stewart is a concept, an entertainment company. The chick is the personality for that entertainment company. While Martha herself may have been a fairly successful caterer, the stuff "she" puts out now is being developed by a staff of chefs, consultants etc...
It makes things tough on caterers who are expected to put out her creations. Whenever a client asks me can I do certain labor intensive foods that Martha does with ease, I tell them "sure we can" but it is really gonna cost them.
The good side: Martha has sparked an interest in foods, in entertaining. While few people do it themselves, most will hire a professional to cater their important parties. So for the most part I think Martha is good for the business, while we may poke fun at her personal ability. Remember folks, she is reading a script
