: My mother is planning to start a catering business that includes the food, beverages, entertainment, etc. She has the financial backing for it. However, she has 0% expertise!

: I'm purchasing some of the "How to" Catering books. I will be helping her.

: Does anyone know of any good resources for equipment, supplies, etc? Are there any professional organizations we could join? Do you know of any resources in NC (where the business will be located)?
: HELP!

: Feel free to post an answer, but also E-mail me direct.

She better have the finanial resources if she is planning on getting into this business with 0% experience.

Why would she want to do this? It takes several years (more than 5) to make a profit in this business. or to establish a strong clientel.

There are equipment sources all over the country. Several.
I have read all those books on "how to". Some good information and some with a lot of holes or half truths. Be careful.!
