I have cooked for friends and family for several years and am starting to have people I do not know call me to cater. I am considering this as a side business and would like any information that would help me get started. A restaurant owner who is also a friend has offered his kitchen to help me get started.
Previously I have been reimbursed for the cost of the food and need to learn how to price, portion for set numbers and create menus to be able to make a profit. Are there any websites where I might find information? Any published books etc? I have enjoyed reading and learning from this site as well.
