Dear All: one of the most upsetting questions ever posed to me during a event planning meeting, was "have you ever caterered for predominatly african american groups?" needless to say I was taken aback.....I am a caterer, could care less what color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, one group might be, I just care if they can pay the bill.......and to get to that point I would bend over backwards to satisfy & exceed their expectations.........yes I have caterered for a wide range of groups of all minority status(s).......and it is my understanding that you could produce kosher food as long as all the regulations & procedures are met & properly attended to & blessed by the rabbi, I have a number of jewish clients, some more orthodox than others, and seem to please them all....and happily, I impressed that african american wedding couple & their guests and have been a recommended caterer at their church for any number of occasions, since that wedding.......I, like carl, think this type of questioning is offensive & ultimatly, detrimental to homogeneity within our culture............respectful of all others opinions, this is just mine...........sam sears, cec
