: Hello All! I just wanted to say that this message board has been very helpful. Most of the questions asked (& answered...thanks Carl and Sam) have been some of the same on my mind. I am currently starting a catering business from scratch in my hometown of Charleston, SC. There is some terrific competition here and I am very excited to be joining some of the best. I have managed (and cleaned and cooked and decorated for) a professional catering business in Seattle for my brother's restaurant and I have a BA with an Accounting emphasis. I am getting my business license and permits within the next few weeks and I have my first catering job lined up (I have a terrific "in" with the school districts). In the meantime, I have met and befriended a woman that has been doing catering (though she is not licensed) and I am helping her to gain some experience and contacts (and money!). I plan to keep my job (marketing) for the next few months so I don't have to live hand to mouth. I am a single mother of 2. A Vienesse Table is a dessert table with various bite sized pastries.... Glad to help with advice. Bring on the questions and we will respond!! Carl
