: I have been ask to cater a wedding and am a little uneasy about it. I have been the Food -Service director at a conference center in the past under the facilities insurance. What type of single day insurance should I get and where?

: Thanks

Well Kenny, you should be uneasy. Just because you have been asked to cater a wedding, doesn't mean you can. You have a responsibility to inform the person asking you that you do not have a food service permit. You can't get insurance that will pay claims without a permit.

Bottom line, without a foodservice permit, you cannot cater. It is illegal. Do the responsible thing, don't put your client and yourself at risk....
