Realize that this post is old news, but thought that you might like a reference for future nostalgia bashes -- "Fashionable Food: Seven Decades of Food Fads" by Sylvia Lovegren (NY: McMillan USA, 1995) -- which tells us that "what beef Wellington was to the Sixties, crepes were to the Seventies."
