marketing your PC business

I recently graduated from Western Culinary Institute and get started my PC business, What's Cooking?, in Portland, OR metro area. I've place an ad in the Portland Business Journal and some local weekly newspapers. I mailed brochures to local professionals, cleaning services, and posted notices in local business. I'm working on a Webpage. I haven't had much response to these marketing efforts - what were some things that worked for you in getting your business started?
